About Maria
Some of my favorite childhood memories are about creating art. Whether it was opening a fresh box of crayons on Christmas morning, painting at an easel in preschool, or filling my favorite coloring books with bright colors, art has always been something I loved.
In college, I took a few drawing and painting classes, and that’s when my passion for art came back to life. In the early 2000s, I started painting and even sold some of my work, but I didn’t really think of it as a career. Instead, I focused on building a career in writing and social media marketing.
In 2021, everything changed when I was diagnosed with cancer. Painting became a big part of my healing journey. It helped me stay in the moment and process all the emotions I was going through. It was a lot, to say the least, but art was there for me.
Now, I’m so excited to keep growing as an artist. I’m looking forward to collaborating with other creative people and sharing stories through my art. Whether it’s on canvas or digital, I’m all about creating pieces that reflect my vision and connect with others. Art isn’t just my passion—it’s my purpose, and I can’t wait to share it with the world.
