In today’s tech-savvy world, art has found a new home online, and it’s doing wonders for people’s mental well-being.

Digital art, with its endless creative possibilities, has given me a chance to express myself in ways that I’m not able to with traditional art supplies.

The beauty of digital tools is that I can play and experiment without worrying about messing up—just hit undo! For anyone feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, this can be a fantastic way to explore your emotions and reconnect with yourself in a relaxed and enjoyable way.

When I was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago, I was in so much pain that I would sit in a hot bath at least 4-5 times a day just to help ease the pain. Sometimes I would take my tablet into the bath with me so I could create something on Canva to get my mind off the pain. I truly did turn pain into art!

These are just a few pieces I created during that time of pain and turmoil...

These pieces are available in my Etsy shop

Not to be dramatic but I have to say that creating art pretty much saved my life. I was at the lowest point in my life, and art literally brought color to world.

What makes digital art so nice is how easy it is to dive in. You don’t need a fancy setup—just your phone or tablet and a creative app, and you’re ready to go. Whether you’re doodling on your lunch break or working on a masterpiece late at night, digital art lets you create whenever inspiration strikes. It’s an outlet that fits seamlessly into everyday life and offers a space to unwind and recharge.

On top of all that, sharing your work is a breeze in the digital age. Social media and art platforms give you a chance to connect with others who appreciate what you’ve created. This sense of community can be incredibly uplifting, reminding you that you’re not alone in your experiences. Digital art isn’t just about creating—it’s about healing, expressing, and connecting in ways that feel natural and fun.
